Notice of Rulemaking

The Administrative Hearings Office ("AHO") will hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of certain rules, governing the conduct and procedures for administrative hearings before the Administrative Hearings Office. These new rules are proposed pursuant to Section 7-1B-5 NMSA 1978. No technical scientific information was consulted in drafting these proposed rules.

The public rule hearing will occur on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 9:00 am in Porter Hall, Wendell Chino Building, 1220 S. St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The public hearing will be conducted in a fair and equitable manner by an AHO hearing officer and shall be recorded. Any interested member of the public may attend the hearing and will be provided a reasonable opportunity to offer public comment, including presentation of data, views, or arguments, on the proposed rules during the hearing. Individuals with disabilities who need any form of auxiliary aid to attend or participate in the public hearing are asked to contact John Griego at john.griego1@state.nm.us. AHO will make every effort to accommodate all reasonable requests, but cannot guarantee accommodation of a request that is not received at least ten calendar days before the scheduled hearing.

Written public comment, including presentation of data, views, or arguments about the proposed rules, from any interested member of the public will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on December 1, 2017 by submitting them via email to tax.pleadings@aho.nm.gov with the subject line "AHO Rulemaking R17-01," or via first class mail to Administrative Hearings Office, ATTN Rulemaking R17-01, P.O. 6400, Santa Fe, NM, 87502, or by hand delivery to AHO's Santa Fe office, Wendell Chino Building, Rm. 269, 1220 S. St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, NM.
